Objective

A successful career in principal investing and finance.

After I graduating from Columbia Business School with an MBA in 2005, I trained as an investment banker at Merrill Lynch. As luck would have it, I got to participate in the LBO boom by executing M&A, debt, and equity transactions for private equity clients. Later I worked with Citigroup Leveraged Finance learning how to structure debt for highly leveraged transactions. I currently work with Prospect Capital Management where I originate, analyze and execute private equity and mezzanine debt transactions.

My professional experience ranges from studying Chaos Theory at Oak Ridge National Laboratory, to building a technology start-up company at ieWild Inc. and investment banking at bulge bracket firms.

I love to learn, investigate and understand the world, bottom-up. I have several on-going projects that I pursue in my (now de minimus) free time. My most recent project involved analyzing the relationship between industry structure, competitive advantage and profitability. Take a look at my Projects page here.

I used to maintain a photography website at FrozenTimes.org. I have also worked with The Nature Conservancy as a photojournalist and am published photographer with leading newspapers such as The Times of India and magazines such as Femina.
