I am back online

... albeit, after a hiatus of several years.

Over a decade ago, I created my first weblog in the Fall of 1998 driven by a very different need. I had landed in a foreign country and wanted all my friends and family back home to keep up with my adventures here. The blog was no more than html code in notepad uploaded to my complimentary university website via commandline ftp.

Today, a blog, Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn seem to be the only way to keep in touch with colleagues, friends and family. Social patterns have evolved. I have a lot of catching up to do.

Thanks for visiting. See you again, soon.
