Welcome to my home page. Yes
its a little different. But it is time that I came to terms with the fact
that
my insurance rates just dropped not because of my stellar driving,
but because now I'm so senile that I'm now considered a lesser threat to
society. Well, in a way that kind of hurts my ego because I'm as dangerous
to fellow drivers on the road than any other time in my life.
I mean my
car has all the distractions possible - a cell phone, Eminem as a part of
my music collection, drumming on the steering wheel,.. you name it. And...I still veer to drive on the
left hand side of the road. I mean is this what finally leads to the
mid-life crisis?? People whose insurance rates drop so much that they go
out and say that I think to be as dangerous as when I was 21 and drunk,
I'm going to buy myself a twin engine Cessna. Or a Porsche.
If you want to risk offering me a job, my resume
here. In return I can serenade you with a rendition of
Breathless (if you understand Hindi)... or a harmonica version of
Vivaldi.
Let me tell you a little more
about myself. I'm
Hindu Brahmin, somewhat enthusiastic and
used to be a vegetarian for about 23 years that I lived in India. Well,
cows in India are holy right... but then I moved to the
United States of America. Cows out there weren't holy .... in fact to my
horror I realized that they were
sluts....deserve to be eaten! So, I changed my ways of life. I eat meat,
watch American football and love Sienfeld. At the same time, I still
maintain an exotic Indian accent, eat bhel puri and love movies with
singing and dancing.
My earlier
home
page.
Cheerful, young, immature and lively.
I was born in Mumbai, India. For those who know their way around, I schooled
in New English School, Government Colony Bandra East, attended Ruparel
College, Matunga and then graduated from
D.J.Sanghvi College of
Engineering, Vile Parle, with a Chemical Engineering degree. After that, I
dabbled in chaos and process control at the
Chaos Research
Group,
University of Tennessee, Knoxville USA; played with bubbles at
Oak
Ridge National Laboratory and then joined a startup ieWild, in San Diego.
Not bad for starters.
Then
our fledging startup got sued by HNC Software leading to the ieWild team
joining
Fair Isaac. A few months
later, HNC settled ieWild's lawsuit. Weeks later, HNC "merged"
with Fair Isaac under the Fair Isaac banner. Viva corporate America!!
applied research in engineering
operations experience at a startup
consulting in financial services
now what?
Most recently, I was in financial
services consulting first as an Consultant in the Product
Development and Analytics group and then as Analytic Science Lead at FairIsaac Corp.
Impatient with the wonderful life I had at FairIsaac, I managed to stir things up and have resigned to pursue
an MBA at
Columbia Business School in New York City.
